This picture of the impossibly charming harbor in Honfleur, in Normandy, France, will be featured in this Sunday’s Travel section of the Louisville Courier Journal.
This was a hunker shot. I had to hunker down (Brian doesn’t like that word) to get the angle that would include the reflection of the clouds in the water. It was early — we were on our way to see Mt St Michel that day, so the restaurants along the water were only serving their coffee and croissants to the fishermen at this point. The sane tourists were still in bed.
I must have taken 50 photos of this harbor in our four days in Honfleur but this was my favorite as soon as I took it.
